Las Pinas gov’t holds free spay and neuter outreach for dogs, cats

The Las Pinas Veterinary Office conducted free spaying and neutering of dogs and cats in two communities in the city on Feb. 11.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said a total of 180 dogs and 100 cats were neutered and spayed by the City Veterinary Office under the supervision of Dr. Michael Basangan.

Aguilar said the Philippine Pet Birth Control Center Foundation (PPBCC) headed by Dr. Mace Resureccion and five volunteer veterinarians joined the free spay and neuter outreach.

She said the activity was held at the covered court of Talon Singko and Angro I Homeowners Association.

The mayor also told the residents that the city government is also giving their pets free anti-rabies shots.

Aguilar said the group will go around the city to conduct spaying and neutering, and they can set the schedule of their visit by just calling telephone number 8255-2911.
