Seasoned TV host Willie Revillame firmly refuted claims he's in talk with stars like Aga Muhlach and John Estrada, allegedly urging them to join him in his new endeavor.
In the Feb. 10 episode of "Wowowin," the veteran actor-singer said: "Merong sumusulat na nunulot ako ng artista. Hindi ho totoo yan! Wala pa akong kinakausap at wala pa! Napakabastos ko namang tao, nandito pa ako sa GMA e ginagawa ko na yan. Kaya wag niyo namang sinusulat yung hindi totoo."
According to him, his meeting with Aga was just a get together over simple lunch.
"Nagkwentuhan lang kami tungkol sa yate. Dahil yung yate niya pinaayos," he related.
As for John, Willie pointed out that it was fake news.
He insists he is yet to speak with John.
He went on to reveal that there are lots of people who have been sending him messages after his impending departure from GMA was made public, but he has not replied to any of them.
Willie teased that today, Feb. 11, he is set to make clear the issues surrounding his contract with GMA as with the conversation he had with GMA Network's CEO, Atty. Felipe Gozon.
"Papakita ko lahat anong nagyari for the last week after mag meeting with Senator Manny Villar. Sasabihin ko sa inyong lahat. It has been approved by, of course, Atty. Gozon. Nagpaalam ako. Alam niyo dito bawat galaw nagpapaalam ho kami. Hindi ako gumagalaw ng basta basta!"
Willie said his contract with GMA actually expired last August 2021 but he renewed it for another six months.
Three months ago, he received an offer to renew his contract with the network for another year.
"Sobrang bait dito sa GMA. Sobrang bait dito ng tao. Kaya lang ho... meron lang mga desisyon sa buhay ng tao na talagang ang sakit, ang bigat pero kailangan mong gawin kasi bakit, meron kang mga pangarap sa buhay mo. At gusto ko ring makatulong sa mga taong nawalan ng trabaho... Hindi pwedeng, isang ano, dapat merong tinatawag... para maganda ang mga programa. There should be a competition in life. Dapat ganyan ang buhay."
Recall that some days ago, GMA wished Willie good luck in his future endeavors, announcing that the 61-year-old actor-singer’s contract is set to end on the 15th of this month.
Later, Willie was spotted with billionaire businessman Villar, igniting rumors that the former will be transferring his game show to Advanced Media Broadcasting Systems, a television station owned by the latter.
Note that Manny is taking over the television broadcast frequencies previously used by ABS-CBN, as confirmed by The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) early this year.
