The Pasay City government said on that only 21 out of the 201 barangays in the city remain with active cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) reported that the city has 26 active cases and 13 were new cases bringing the city’s total number of cases to 28,660.
Rubiano said 16 individuals recovered from the disease which is equivalent to 97. 89 percent or 28,056.
She said from the remaining 21 barangays with active cases, Barangays 183 and 193 both have three active cases, Barangay 23 - two, and the other barangays - one each.
The mayor called on the residents to get vaccinated.
Rubiano said with the third National Immunization Day on Feb. 10 to 11, the city government is accepting walk-ins coming from other cities.
She said the National Immunization Day will be held in the city’s Giga vaccination site in SM Mall of Asia (MOA) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for those who want to receive their first and second doses including booster shot using the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The mayor said the city is also offering vaccination at the Double Dragon Plaza for those who failed to get their Pfizer second dose and for minors, 12 to 17 years old.
Rubiano said the scheduled vaccination for children, 5 to 11 years old, without comorbidities, will be at T. Paez Elementary School, Villamor Airbase Elementary School, and at SM MOA activity center.
