Senate President Vicente “Tito” C. Sotto III on Thursday, February 10, said he is humbled by the people’s continued trust in him and their satisfaction with his performance as indicated in the December 2021 survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS).
“Nakakatuwa po ang patuloy na tiwala na ibinibigay ng ating mga kababayan sa aking kakayahan bilang senador (I am happy that there is a continued trust by our countrymen in my capability as a senator). Nakakaalis po ng pagod ang masigasig na pagsuporta ng taumbayan sa mga aksyon at desisyon ng Senado na aking pinamumunuan (The support from our countrymen on our actions and decisions in the Senate relieves fatigue). Maraming salamat po (Thank you so much),” Sotto said.
Sotto got a net satisfaction rating of +52 in the poll firm’s survey conducted in December 2021.
He bested Vice President Leni Robredo's 23 percent and came in second to President Duterte as one of the most trusted government officials in the country.
President Duterte's net satisfaction rating was +60, while Vice President Robredo’s net satisfaction rating dropped.
''Ang tiwala ng ating mga kababayan ay nagsisilbing inspirasyon sa aking kampanya para maging bise presidente ng ating bansa The trust given me from our countrymen serves as an inspiration in my campaign for the vice presidency). Hindi madali ang laban na ito, pero kukuha ako ng lakas ng loob mula sa pagmamahal at suporta na ibinibigay sa akin ng asking mga kababayann(This fight is not easy but I get inspiration from the love and support my countrymen are giving me).
Anumang hirap ang aking maranasan at anumang balakid ang aking harapin, ipinapangako ko po sa inyo na hinding-hindi ako bibitiw sa patuloy na pagsisilbi sa ating bayan (Whatever hardship that I am experiencing and whatever barrier that I face, I promise you that I will not fail you in my service to the country),” Sotto said.
