Vaccination areas in Buting Elementary School, Manggahan High School, and SM City East Ortigas catered to children without comorbidities. These sites are open from Mondays to Fridays.

Meanwhile, children with comorbidities were vaccinated at the Pasig City General Hospital (PCGH). The vaccination site for the age group is open only on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The staff in the venues wore balloon hats, and a Pasig City mascot greeted the children. The cinema theatre used as a vaccination area in SM City East Ortigas was decorated with balloons, and had a photo area where children took pictures with staff in superhero costumes like the Flash, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman.

The vaccination sites adhered strictly to “no walk-in'' policy. Only children who have registered online may come on their respective scheduled dates.

Parents or legal guardians who wish to vaccinate their child or children may register online using the PasigPass website: https://pasigpass.pasigcity.gov.ph/

They may also register their children on-site at the Pasig Mega Parking II which is open on Mondays to Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The child or children must be present when registering on-site.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto visited and inspected the four venues to ensure the proper implementation of the vaccination drive.

He urged parents and legal guardians to register their kids for the COVID-19 vaccination.

Pasig City was unable to join the other cities in Metro Manila in the pilot run of the pediatric vaccination for the five-to-11 age group on Monday, Feb. 7, due to a delay in the shipment of the vaccines to the city. (Khriscielle Yalao)
