The Department of Health (DOH) reported only one death on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, even as the downward trend in new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases continued.

The National Task Force (NTF) on COVID-19 also said that everything is set for the start of the vaccination of children aged five to 11 years old on Monday, Feb. 7, 2022.

The Department of Education (DepEd) also disclosed that the guidelines on face-to-face classes in public schools will be the same as those that will be applied in private schools.
