Duterte's adviser for OFW concerns in short list of Comelec chair bets

Presidential adviser on Overseas Filipino Workers' concerns Secretary Abdullah Mama-o expressed gratitude to President Duterte for his inclusion in the short list of those who may be appointed as next chairperson of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

A litigation lawyer, Mama-o is no stranger on Comelec matters as he handled several election protests.

A report stated that Mama-o is on the short list along with retired Court of Appeals (CA) justices Romeo Barza , Danton Bueser and Francisco Acosta.

Also being eyed are former Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre, former Supreme Court Second Division clerk of court Maria Lourdes Perfecto and former Comelec executive director Jose Tolentino.
