7 persons arrested for shabu possession in Taguig, Muntinlupa, Pateros


Seven individuals, including a pawnshop manager, were arrested by the police in different operations in Taguig, Muntinlupa and Pateros on Feb. 3.

According to the Southern Police District (SPD), at about 4:50 p.m., a pawnshop manager was arrested at a police checkpoint in front of the St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish and Diocesan Shrine in Barangay Tunasan, Muntinlupa.

Police identified the as Mark Gil Sadicon, 28, a resident of Cabuyao Laguna. Seized from him was one plastic sachet containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing about one gram valued at P6,800.

In PNR Site, Sitio Tuklas in Barangay Cupang, Muntinlupa, the Muntinlupa police conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of suspect Ronie Faminial, 36.

The police confiscated two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 2 grams with an estimated value of P13,600 and P200 buy-bust money.

In Taguig, the police conducted an anti-illegal drugs operation along Kawayanan Street in Barangay Ususan that resulted in the arrest of suspect Gerald Panes, 21. Recovered from him were two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 0.71 gram with a value of P4,828.

At 6:50 p.m., the Taguig police’s Substation 9 personnel, together with the Mobile Patrol Unit (MPU) and Taguig Peace and Order Unit (TPOU), conducted “Oplan Galugad” along Jomar Street in Barangay New Lower Bicutan.

Arrested during the operation were suspects Judilyn Bautista, 26; Giovanni Perillo, 29; and Camila Placido, 18.

Confiscated from them were three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 3.1 grams valued at P21,080.

In Pateros, the police arrested construction worker Eusebio Restar, 38, during a buy-bust operation along G. De Borja Street, Barangay Aguho.

Seized were one plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing one gram with a value of P6,800 and P200 buy-bust money.

The respective police stations will file complaints against the suspects for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

The suspects are detained while the confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
