Pasig police distributes relief goods to Barangay Pineda fire victims


The Pasig City Police Station (CPS) distributed relief goods to the victims of the fire that hit a residential building in Barangay Pineda on Tuesday, Feb. 1.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Feb. 2, the Pasig City Police shared photos of the distribution held at a covered court in Brgy. Pineda around 11:00 a.m. It was conducted by the Pasig CPS in partnership with the Christ’s Commission Fellowship of Pasig City under the “Tulong Tayo” program.

The fire victims received food packs containing six packs of noodles, six cans of sardines, five kilograms of rice, six packs of coffee, one liter of mineral water, and a dishwashing liquid.

They also received yoga mats and hygiene kits.

Based on the report of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire reached the second alarm at 11:59 a.m. and was declared out at 1:47 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1.

The BFP said around 55 families or 193 individuals including 44 children aged 12 years old and below were affected by the fire. (Cherrylin Caacbay)
