The world can finally watch “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” after the unique take on the reality television show became available on Netflix starting on  February 1.

It is undoubtedly an interesting format because the 16 candidates will also undergo physical challenges aside from the typical business-centric tasks.

The aspirants will be divided into two teams, and several ONE athletes will grace the show to either facilitate the physical tasks or join in the competition themselves.

While the show pits every man or woman for themselves, it’s still critical to work well with the group to ace the challenges.

That said, it’s interesting to pick the minds of some Philippine mixed martial arts personalities about forming their Apprentice Dream Team should they appear in the award-winning program.

“Demetrious Johnson, Rodtang, and GSP,” former ONE Flyweight World Champion Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio said. “It’s because their work ethic is insane, and they can complete the puzzle.”

Both Johnson and Georges St. Pierre bolstered the show’s star power by guesting in different episodes. Having them on the team is a no-brainer because they’re two of the most intelligent fighters in MMA history.

The same can be said about Rodtang, whose toughness and in-ring IQ helped him go through the ranks before becoming the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion.

On the other hand, Team Lakay coach Mark Sangiao isn’t looking elsewhere in creating his dream team.

The soft-spoken mentor will stick with his wards because familiarity is crucial in shows like this.

“Personally, I'd go for Joshua Pacio, Geje Eustaquio, and Lito Adiwang - of course all Team Lakay,” Sangiao said.

“These athletes have something in them that they can offer to the table, complementing each other, making us a perfect package.”

Catch all 13 episodes of “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” on-demand on Netflix.

ONE Champion also returns to martial arts action with ONE: BAD BLOOD on 11 February. Watch the event live by downloading the ONE Super App or by visiting their official YouTube channel.
