Olivarez sets new application system for building permit in Paranaque City

Mayor Edwin Olivarez announced on Monday, Jan.31, that the Office of Building Official (OBO) has come up with a new system to ease the application for building permit in the city.

Olivarez, during Monday's virtual flag raising ceremony, said easing the application for building permit in the city will attract more investors to put up more businesses that will also help generate jobs for residents.

He admitted there was a delay in the issuance of building permits during the COVID-19 pandemic but OBO managed to issue around 7,500 permits in 2019.

The mayor said OBO, under Engr. Diamela Apolinario, came up with a new system to ease the application for building permits.

Olivarez said they are already preparing for on-line transaction and the creation of a one-stop-shop to ease the application of building permits to industries that wish to conduct business in the city.

He said the creation of online transaction will help building officials to easily evaluate, process, conduct monitoring, and immediately issue a permit.

He added that it will also help applicants to apply for permits online or visit the one-stop-shop that the city will create.
