Broadcaster Julius Babao is now a certified Kapatid as he joins “Frontline Pilipinas” beginning Feb. 7.
Julius, husband of television personality Christine Bersola, joined TV5 when he bid goodbye to ABS-CBN after 28 years of service.
Launched on Oct. 5, 2020, “Frontline Pilipinas” is the evening newscast of TV5 that covers the most relevant headlines locally and around the globe.
Currently, “Frontline Pilipinas” is spearheaded by Cheryl Cosim whose past shows focused on news, public service, and foreign affairs. She was hailed the Best Female News Program Anchor in the 12th Gawad Tanglaw Awards and the Best TV Newscaster in the 21st Golden Dove Awards.
Frontline Pilipinas’s rallying motto is “maasahang kasangga sa pagbabalita, boses ng may alam at may pakialam at balita’t impormasyong dapat malaman.”
Julius began his career in broadcast journalism at ABS-CBN, where he embodied the company’s mission of service for 28 years by reporting on important national issues and events, producing unflinching exposés of abuses that benefited the helpless, and serving Filipinos in need of various types of assistance through his TV and radio programs.
“We respect his decision to pursue his professional career outside of ABS-CBN and wish him well in his future pursuits,” the Kapamilya Network said in its statement released on New Year’s Eve.
