The league released the full schedule of the regular season on Wednesday, Jan. 26 with the protagonists of the Season 8 Grand Finals raising the curtain at 6 p.m.

The match between the new-look Bren Esports and the powerhouse squad ECHO also highlights the opening week schedule.

ECHO’s prized offseason acquisition Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno will face Bren Esports and his former coach Francis “Duckey” Glindro for the first time since his departure from the squad, breaking Bren’s M2 winning roster in the process.

ECHO will then challenge the defending champions Blacklist in the third day of Week 2 while Nexplay Evos lock horns against Bren Esports in another tough match.

A titanic clash between last season’s second and third placers is very much anticipated in Week 3 with Onic PH taking on Omega Esports. Omega then plays NXPE the next day in a collision between two of the most colorful teams in the MPL.

A match between bitter rivals Omega and Blacklist headlines Week 4 action in the second day while NXPE’s former BIG 3 will have its reunion on the third day as Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera and his ECHO battles the John Paul “H2wo” Salonga and Renejay “RENEJAY” Barcase-led Nexplay.
