4-year-old boy dies in Taguig fire


Police have identified the person who died in a fire in Barangay Bagumbayan in Taguig on Jan. 26.

According to the Taguig police, the fire resulted in the death of Prince Emir Vetonio, four years old.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Taguig reported on Jan. 26 that the fire started from the house of Anabel Vetonio in Gutierrez Compound at 210 Paso St., Barangay Bagumbayan.

Firefighters raised the first alarm at 1:28 p.m. followed by the second alarm at 1:38 p.m. before the blaze was put out at 3:04 p.m.

BFP-Taguig said about 15 houses were damaged by the fire, affecting 18 families or 57 individuals.

A total of 49 fire trucks responded to the incident. Investigators estimated the cost of damage to property at P150,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
