TACLOBAN CITY - An accused with a pending warrant of arrest for attempted murder was nabbed while applying for a police clearance in Abucay Police Station 2 here.
PMaj. Winrich Laya Lim, Abucay Police chief, identified the accused as Randy Galos, 40, a motor cab for-hire driver in the city.
Lim said Wednesday, that the subject was acquiring a National Police Clearance, wherein they discovered that he has a pending warrant of arrest for attempted murder dated August 10, 2016.
The warrant was issued in Manila with P120 thousand bail recommended.
He is now temporarily detained in the custodial facility of the station pending disposition.
"Ito ang ikinaganda ng National Police Clearance na ipinapatupad ng PNP dahil ang database nito ay centralized na. Kaya kahit saang sulok ka pa ng Pilipinas pumunta para kumuha ng National Police Clearance pero ikaw ay may nakabinbin na warrant of arrest, malalaman at makikita parin ito sa centralized database ng PNP," Lim warned.
