“With the current Omicron surge, there is an immediate need to ramp up vaccination rates,” Gordon said.

PRC said that the partnership with Lazada aims to raise awareness and provide access to vaccines for its partner communities and those far-flung areas with limited access to these resources.

Lazada and PRC’s partnership aim to deploy Bakuna buses until August 2022.

"Lazada’s contribution in our vaccination efforts will help more communities in the fight against COVID-19. The Philippine Red Cross is very grateful to Lazada in helping us reach the most vulnerable," Gordon stated.

PRC shared that the partnership’s first deployment will be to Brgy. Gulod, Nova, Quezon City where booster shots will be administered starting Wednesday (Jan. 26). PRC will also administer primary doses and booster shots to Lazada logistics staff at their warehouse in Cabuyao, Laguna.

As of Jan. 24, the PRC administered 884,279 doses while fully vaccinating 328,605 individuals through their 26 Bakuna Centers, 17 Bakuna Buses, and Bakuna Teams nationwide.
