In a rare instance, Miss Universe 2010 4th Runner-up Venus Raj talked about what she considers the biggest mistake of her life.
In an interview with Toni Gonzaga, it all stemmed from her thinking that relationships are the "ultimate."
She explained further: "When it comes to having a relationship with a man and compromising my purity."
"Because that's something I can never have again. Moments like that. That you feel like that's the best thing you can give to someone, you know, that you're in a relationship with."
She went on to open up about her first boyfriend.

According to her, it happened while she was just 16 and in high school.
Her boyfriend was way older than her at 28.
According to Venus, at the time she was so naive, compliant.
"I don't know what a toxic relationship was then. I don't know the dynamics. Am I to submit? Or how else should I act? No idea at all," she said.
"I was introduced to things that I shouldn't be introduced. First sexual experience," she revealed. "And I thought, 'Ah siguro ganito talaga. Ito siguro yung love.'"
Their romance ended when her boyfriend got another girl pregnant.
Asked what it taught her, Venus citied how she was craving for "companionship," "security," "validation," "acceptance," "provision," and "belonging," among others, at the time.
She thinks it boils down to the fact that she grew up without a father figure. And all throughout she was trying to fill the "void."
Now, Venus realized that it was wrong.
She now continues her effort to become a better version of herself.
