Pasay City’s 86 barangays now COVID-free


The Pasay City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) reported that the city recorded 96.61 percent recoveries from COVID-19 with 86 barangays already COVID-free.

The CESU reported to Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano that 82 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, Jan. 23, brought the city’s total confirmed cases to 386.

She also said out of the 201 barangays in the city, 115 still have cases of COVID-19 while 86 are already COVID-free.

The mayor reiterated her call to city residents to continue following the health protocols being implemented by the city government.

Rubiano said the strategy of house-to-house symptoms check, giving immediate treatment, and intensified vaccination have helped bring down COVID-19 cases to 386.
