NAPC official joins call for public to get vaccinated against COVID-19


An official of the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) urged the public to get vaccinated amid the continuous increase of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infections in the country.

NAPC Undersecretary Penelope Belmonte joined the call and urged the public to do its part in keeping communities safe and protected against the pandemic.

“Magpabakuna po tayo. Samahan natin ang pamahalaan sa pagligtas ng buhay. (Let’s get vaccinated. Let’s join our government in saving lives),” said Belmonte on Saturday, Jan. 22.

The country recently achieved its 54 million target vaccination against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health’s (DOH) National COVID-19 vaccination dashboard revealed that as of Jan. 22, a total of 123, 099,717 doses were administered in the country. Of this number, 57,190,586 individuals have been fully vaccinated, while 59,753,572 received their first dose.
