Ping doffs his hat off to PNoy’s integrity

Presidential aspirant Senator Panfilo M. Lacson on Saturday, Jan. 22 said he doffs his hat off for the integrity of the late President Benigno Simeon ’’PNoy’’ C. Aquino III.

Lacson said PNoy set the tone of his administration through his ‘’No wang wang’’ (no siren) policy which is ‘’very symbolic’’ as it meant ‘’no entitlement.’’

‘’Sa nakaraang pangulo natin siya hinahangaan ko (Of all past presidents, I salute PNoy). Di siya corrupt (He is not corrupt),’’ he added.

Asked what is his most prized possession in this lifetime, the Partido Reporma standard bearer said it is his integrity.

‘’Sa napakahabang panahon mula CPNP at law enforcement hanggang maging senador ako yan ang aking pinagmamalaki (From his long years as chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and law enforcement to his being senator at present, that is what I can be proud of). Ni minsan tumanggap ng suhol sa serbisyo publiko (Never have I accepted bribe while in public service),’’ he added.

Queried on what he fears most, Lacson said: ‘’Mawalan ng pagasa ang ating kababayan at tuloy mawala ang respeto at tiwala sa ating pamahalaan (When Filipinos lose their trust and respect for the government).’’

‘’Pag ganyan ang nangyari wala na tayong kinabukasan (when that happens, we have no future),’’ he stressed.

Every night, according to Lacson, he prays that everything would be alright for Filipinos.

‘’For the longest time talagang naghihirap tayo dahil mostly self-inflicted and mostly because of bad governance (For the longest time, we are suffering from self-inflicted {wounds} and mostly from bad governance),’’ he said.

‘’Ang pinagdadasal ko na sana dumating ang panahon na tayong mga Pilipino tayo mamulat na magbantay sa ating mga government officials (I hope to see that one day we guard our government officials),’’ he added.
