Mayor Aguilar gives home care kits, food packs to COVID-19 patients

Las Pinas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar ordered the distribution of home care kits and food packs to COVID-19 positive residents who are under home quarantine.

Aguilar said since last year, the city government had been providing home care kits to residents whether they are positive from the virus or not to ensure that they are free from COVID-19.

She said each home care kit contains face mask, alcohol, thermometer, paracetamol, lagundi capsule, vitamin-C, soap, shampoo, tissue roll, toothbrush and toothpaste.

The food packs include noodles, canned goods (tuna sardines, corned beef and meat loaf), five kilos of rice, 3-in-1 coffee, and Fita crackers.

She said that aside from the residents under quarantine in their respective homes, the home care kits and food packs were also being distributed to the families of COVID-19 patients confined in the city’s isolation facilities.

Aguilar said she wants to ensure that all COVID-19 patients have their own home care kits and learn to take care of themselves.

Aside from the home care kits, all COVID-19 positive patients under home isolation are also being monitored by nurses and doctors.
