Paranaque's COVID-19 patients to get home care kits

Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said all residents positive for COVID-19 and undergoing home quarantine will receive home care kits.

Olivarez said relatives of positive COVID-19 patients must show proof by sending the result of their RT-PCR and antigen test.

He said the RT-PCR and antigen test results must be sent through viber at 0956-394-0176 or through email at [email protected].

The Paranaque City government started the distribution of home care kits on Jan. 18 to patients who are undergoing home quarantine.

Olivarez said the home care kits contain a face mask, alcohol, disinfectant, thermometer, oximeter, soap, paracetamol, lagundi capsules, and Vitamin C.

He said the home care kits are being delivered by barangay officials and nurses from the Barangay Health Emergency and Response Team (BHERTS) and also give relatives advice on how to take care of their patients.

The mayor called on all residents to coordinate with the city government in helping curb the spread of the virus in the city.

Olivarez said records by the City Health Office and the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) showed that the city has a total of 1,296 confirmed and 529 new cases.

He said three barangays have the highest number of COVID-19 cases. These are Don Bosco with 226, BF Homes with 225, and San Isidro with 201.
