Bulacan administers over 4 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine


The Province of Bulacan has administered a total of 4,023,817 doses of COVID-19 vaccine including first, second, and single doses since the start of its vaccine rollout on March 8, 2021 up to January 16, 2022.

According to the report of the Provincial Health Office posted on https://covid19updates.bulacan.gov.ph/, a total of 1,883,981 are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, while 1,947,467 received their first dose only.

The total number of fully vaccinated Bulakenyos constitutes 72.5% of the 70% coverage of the eligible population of 2,596,146.

Also, 192,369 Bulakenyos have already received their booster dose.

According to Governor Daniel R. Fernando, more Bulakenyos are encouraged to be vaccinated as a result of the heightened campaign of the government on the benefits of vaccines against the virus.

Fernando said the herd immunity against COVID-19 in the province of Bulacan is almost achieved.

The province received a total of 4,586,231 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from the national government. Out of this number, 1,634,776 are Sinovac; 547,372 Astrazeneca; 1,564,395 Pfizer; 163,200 Janssen, 592,208 Moderna, and 84,280 Sinopharm. (Freddie C. Velez)
