Navotas City extends renewal of business permits, licenses

The Navotas City government has extended the deadline for the renewal of business permits and licenses, the city government announced on Monday, Jan.17.

Under City Ordinance 2022-05, business owners in the city are given until January 31, 2022 to settle their business taxes without surcharge, penalty, or interest.

The extension was given due to the COVID-19 surge in the country.

"Many businesses are once again affected by the surge of COVID-19 cases and the extended Alert Level 3 community quarantine in Metro Manila. We intend to give them ample time to renew their business permits and licenses and pay their taxes,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said.

“The 11-day extension is also in consideration of the safety and well-being of all taxpayers. We want to give them the chance to pay their dues when they are most comfortable to do so,” he added.

Taxpayers may also register or renew their businesses online at https://online.navotas.gov.ph/ The city government had earlier granted tax amnesty to individuals and businesses through the General Pandemic Amnesty Program and provided discounts to on-time taxpayers under the Pandemic Recovery Assistance Program.
