Vice Ganda, other stars react to Sassa Gurl landing calendar gig


Online content creator and influencer Sassa Gurl recently made headlines having been chosen as model for a whiskey brand's calendar for 2022.

Of course, the 25-year-old couldn't be prouder with the milestone, teasing calendar girls for other brands - Bea Alonzo and Chie Filomeno - about it.

"I-set na ang inom!!!! Ako na agad ang pulutan Ano na Bea at Chie tara!!! SHOT PUNO!!! BASAGAN!!! chares," he wrote on Instagram. "Nagbunga na ang pagpapainom natin mga bakla! Para to sa mga baklang umaawra sa inuman at nazezero, eto na tayo na ang naka booking sa calendar gurl. (rainbow flag emoji) INUMAN NA!!!!"

He also updated his fans on Twitter: "May alak ka na, may pulutan ka pa!!! Napakingan na tayo mga bakla!"

But on a serious note, he reiterated: "Ang laban para sa pantay na karapatan and representasyon ay di natatapos sa kalendaryo, at marami pang petsa ang 2022 para lumaban!!!!"

Meanwhile, many celebrities celebrated his feat.

In fact, comedian Vice Ganda re-tweeted it and wrote: "Winner! Panalo! Wagi! Title!!! Tah kayo!!! (clapping hand sign emojis)."

TV host Bianca Gonzalez did the same, deeming Sassa as "game changer."

Miss TransGlobal 2020 Mela Habijan couldn't agree more, pointing out Sassa is "breaking barriers."

On the other hand, director Fifth Solomon regarded Sassa as "queen."

Actor Kyo Quijano admitted the said breakthrough is "powerful."

"It's about time naman talaga na magka baklang endorser ang alak no! Majority ng sales are from lgbt char not char," he quipped.

Ruru Madrid, Nicole Cordoves, and singer Enzo Almario also expressed their support to Sassa via Instagram.
