The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Saturday, Jan. 15, said that the e-rallies in their Facebook page will be crossposted on YouTube.

"You will soon be able to watch the e-rallies of your national candidates via the Comelec’s e-Rally Facebook Channel," Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez said on Twitter.

"Not on Facebook? No problem. We’re x-posting on YouTube. https://t.co/9noj5L6blf," he added.

Last week, the poll body announced the launching of the Campaign S.A.F.E. Comelec e-rally channel on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/COMELECeRallyChannel) which will provide e-rally airtime to all bona fide candidates for the positions of President, Vice-President and Senator, as well as to each participating Party-List organization.

The Comelec said it will release a schedule of e-rally timeslots for each elective position, which will be allocated as follows: presidential (10 minutes), vice-presidential (10 minutes), senatorial (3 minutes), party-list (3 minutes) and political parties (10 minutes).

It added that the live-streaming of e-rallies will be conducted every night on the official social media channels of the poll body beginning Feb. 8.

"Every night, there shall be three Presidential and three Vice-Presidential 10-minute slots, and ten Party List 3-minute slots," the Comelec said.

Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez said the Commission will issue the pertinent guidelines on how the candidates and party list organizations can participate in the e-Rally channel.

"This platform can help ensure that even those candidates who have less in followers can still have more in views and exposure, so to speak," he said in a statement.
