COVID-19 cases in Bulacan rise to100,204


COVID-19 cases continue to spike in the province of Bulacan with the Provincial Health Office (PHO) logging100,204 as of Thursday, Jan. 13.

Based on the daily operational COVID-19 report in Central Luzon released by Felicisima L. Mungcal, local Disaster Risk Reduction, and Management (DRRM) officer, the Bulacan PHO recorded 646 new COVID-19 cases.

The PHO said out of the total of 100,204 confirmed cases, 90,592 or 91 percent have recovered, while the 8,117 or 8 percent remain as active cases.

There were four new deaths recorded that brought the total number of fatalities due to COVID-19 to 1,495.

Of the 8,117 active cases, 350 are admitted in the hospitals, 81 in a Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), while the 7,686 are under home isolation.

Col. Rommel J. Ochave, acting Bulacan police director, ordered the chiefs of police in the three cities and 23 municipalities to continue the deployment of police patrol teams to remind the public to strictly observe the minimum public health standards. (Freddie C. Velez)
