Over 100 PCG personnel in isolation due to COVID-19


A total of 133 personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) are now under isolation after testing positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In a statement, PCG said those infected are from from its National Headquarters which resulted in the decision to lock down some of its offices for disinfection.

Some of them were the Office of the Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Comptrollership (CG-6), Coast Guard Public Affairs and Coast Guard Finance Service.

“Nag-start yung temporary lockdown nung Monday, Jan. 10, hanggang bukas, Jan. 14 "The lockdown started on Monday (Jan. 10) and this will be in effect until tomorrw (Jan. 14),” the statement read.
