Pasig City’s active COVID-19 cases jump to almost 3,000


The Pasig City local government on Tuesday, Jan. 11, announced that the city has recorded nearly 3,000 active COVID-19 cases on Monday.

According to the Pasig Public Information Office, 790 new active cases were added on Jan. 10, bringing the active COVID-19 tally to 2,835.

Barangays with the most number of active cases were Manggahan (396), Pinagbuhatan (218), Rosario (201), San Miguel (186), and Sta. Lucia (144).

Following the COVID-19 surge, the city government urged the public to remain vigilant and observe minimum health protocols at all times.

As of Jan. 10, Pasig City had 62,749 confirmed cases, 58,442 recoveries, and 1,472 deaths. (Cherrylin Caacbay)
