Bulacan’s COVID-19 active cases jump to 5,241



The Provincial Health Office (PHO) in Bulacan has recorded 5,241 active cases with 1,041 new ones added on Monday, Jan. 10, to the surging COVID-19 cases in the province.

The total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in the province has reached 97,259 with 90,531 recoveries or 94 percent.

There was one recorded death, bringing the total number of COVID-related fatalities to 1,487 with a case fatality rate at 2 per 100 confirmed cases.

Of the 5,241 active cases, 217 are admitted in the hospitals, 81 are in a Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF), while 4,943 or 95 percent are under home isolation.

The areas with the highest reported active cases are the City of San Jose Del Monte, Sta Maria, and the City of Malolos.

From March 8, 2021 to January 6, 2022, the PHO said that Bulacan has received a total of 4,261,122 COVID-19 vaccines from the national government and has administered 3,776,801 vaccine doses — 1,893,550 with the first dose, and 1,765,762 with the second dose. (Freddie C. Velez)
