Star City postpones reopening

Star City in Pasay City to reopen soon

Popular amusement park Star City in Pasay City has postponed its reopening on Jan. 14 due to COVID-19.

The full statement:

"In an urgent move addressing public health concerns over the dramatic rise in Covid-19 cases, Star City management has decided to postpone the soft re-opening of the popular amusement park, scheduled January 14 and already announced to the public. While the current Alert level still allows the operations of amusement parks, officials felt it more prudent to postpone the opening.

"It is really unfortunate that the park has had to reverse course so soon after its reopening was announced, and Star City management sincerely apologizes to those who were very excited to see it rise back from the ashes. But public safety has always been its utmost concern, and more so now that the variants of the virus continue to put more and more people at risk.
