A fire hit a shopping mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa on Jan. 8.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Muntinlupa, the fire hit Starmall Alabang, a five-level mall, past 3 a.m. and the first alarm was raised at 3:40 a.m. The second alarm was raised at 4:03 a.m. and the third at 4:49 a.m.
“Starmall Alabang is a modern 5-level building situated in Alabang-Muntinlupa junction. Starmall Alabang is a haven of bargain finds with chic novelty items at super low prices. It also plays host to one of the biggest and most important transportation terminals in the south,” according to the mall’s Facebook page.
The alarm has reached Task Force Alpha, the next level after the fifth alarm, at 7:46 a.m. As of the writing, firemen are still battling the fire in the mall. BFP-Muntinlupa is investigating the origin and cause of the fire.
