Caloocan City gov’t issues guidelines for unvaxxed residents under Alert Level 3


The Caloocan City government on Friday, Jan. 7, released the guidelines for the unvaccinated individuals in the city under Alert Level 3.

The Ordinance No. 0959 Series of 2022 states the following regulations for the unvaccinated residents:

· Individuals who are not fully vaccinated are not allowed to go outside, except for buying essential goods or services.

· Dining-in, entering the malls, playing contact sports, going to salons or spas, and other recreational or leisure activities are prohibited.

· Employees who are not yet fully vaccinated are required to present a negative RT-PCR test result (personal expense) every two weeks. For instance, if the RT-PCR test result is not yet available, employees can present a negative rapid antigen test result before going to work.

· Domestic travel through public transportation is also not allowed, except for those who will buy food, water, medicine, or concerning medical services.

Violators including the owner, manager or operator of the establishment, employer of the company, and driver or operator of the public vehicle will be penalized.

The following are the penalties for the violators:

First offense: P2,000 penalty or seven days detention in jail or both, depending on the discretion of the court

Second offense: P3,000 penalty or 15 days detention in jail or both, depending on the discretion of the court

Third Offense: P5,000 penalty or 30 days detention in jail or both, depending on the discretion of the court The city government encourages its citizens to get vaccinated for protection against COVID-19. (Cherrylin Caacbay)
