With CJ “Ribo” Ribo taking a break from the professional scene, the M2 champion coach took to his personal Facebook page on Wednesday to search for possible stand-in and fill the void in the gold lane role.

“LF RG pubstomper, Gold Lane. For Sibol qualifiers. 2500 points up. Send me a message, yo,” said Duckey in his post.

Ribo played all of the five roles throughout his career but flourished well as Bren Esports' gold laner which eventually won him the the MPL Season 6 and M2 World championship titles. He earlier announced that he’ll be stepping away from the limelight at least for one season, leaving fellow world champions Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel, Allan “Lusty” Castromayor and David “Flaptzy” Canon in the team.

The team was already without Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno who is now with ECHO and Ejhay “EJ” Sambrano who is now the coach for Sunsparks while Raven “L3bron” Alonzo and Dwine “Rimuru” Enriquez are now free agents.

It’s still unclear who will make up Bren’s Sibol roster as among the players who are still with the team, Pheww, Lusty, Mico “Coco” Sampang and Mujahid “Malik” Malik are the only players eligible to play at tge SEA Games due to the age restriction set by the Vietnam’s Southeast Asia Games Organizing Committee.

Likewise, Bren’s lineup for MPL Philippines Season 9 remains a mystery as the esport organization has yet to make its moves since the release of some of its players last month.

Duckey still have a few more days left to build his lineup before the Jan. 8 deadline for the team registration for the two-phase Sibol qualifiers.
