PAL cancels 10 Manila-HK flights

In compliance with the temporary Hong Kong state restrictions, Philippine Airlines (PAL) cancelled ten flights from Manila to Hong Kong from Jan. 6 to 21.

The flag carrier's PR301 Hongkong to Manila flights will however continue to operate every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, as scheduled, said PAL.

PAL planes will fly into Hong Kong as all-cargo flights then the return journey to Manila -PR301 - shall carry passengers.

PAL cancelled its PR 300 – Manila-Hong Kong flights for Jan. 6, 7, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16, 19, 20 and 21.

The airline reverts to its normal Manila-Hong Kong schedule starting 12:01 AM on Jan. 22.

"We reiterate our commitment to maintaining strict safety and health measures to protect our travelers on all our flights," PAL said in a statement on Thursday, Jan. 6.

"We sincerely regret the inconvenience this will cause to your travel plans. Your current tickets are safe and remain valid, and you may avail of three options if your flight is cancelled," according to PAL.

Passengers can convert their ticket to Travel Credits equivalent to the unused base fare of their ticket.

Voucher validity is one year year from date of issuance.

They can rebook or reroute their ticket to another flight with available space within 60 days from the original flight in the same booking class or higher within the same cabin class.

They can also refund their ticket without penalties, excluding Ticketing Service Charge.
