“Pag ni-request nila (If they requested), we will be happy to be of service,” Domagoso said in an interview with reporters during his visit to the vaccination site at the Bonifacio Shrine in Manila.

“Masaya kami kasi nagpabakuna sila, naproteksyonan sila, naproteksyonan ang customer nila, naproteksyonan ang pamilya nila, tapos hindi nasayang ang araw ng kita. They still have the whole day to go around para maghanapbuhay. Hindi nabalam ang hanapbuhay, protektado ang lahat, panatag ang lahat (We are happy because they got vaccinated, they were protected, their customers were protected, their families were protected, and their day’s toil was not wasted. They still have the whole day to go around for work. Work was not delayed, everyone was protected, everyone was secure),” the Manila mayor said.

Hundreds of drivers from Grab, Angkas, Lalamove, Shopee, Mr. Speedy, FoodPanda, Lazada, and other courier services lined up at the facility to get their free booster shots.

Domagoso also noted that seven out of 10 delivery drivers who availed of the free booster shots were not residents of Manila.

“Maraming salamat sa pagtitiwala ninyo sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Maynila at pumunta kayo dito para magpabakuna at maproteksyonan ang bawat isa (Thank you for your trust in the Manila City Government and for coming here to be vaccinated and to protect everyone),” he said.

“Dito naman, kapag gusto pa nila, one to sawa. As we go along, tignan natin, but be that as it may, tuloy-tuloy. Kung kelan sila convenient, yayakapin natin hanggat kaya natin (They can get vaccinated here for as long as they want. We will accommodate them as much as we can),” Domagoso added.

The city government had already approved the continuation of the Booster Shot Night Vaccination for Divisoria workers on Thursday night.

Domagoso, meanwhile, appealed again to those who are still unvaccinated to get the jab to protect themselves from the virus.

“Magpabakuna po kayo, ito po ay magiging pandemya ng hindi bakunado. Kapag hindi ka bakunado, mas mataas ang porsyento na ma-infect ka. At pag na-infect ka na hindi ka bakunado, mas mataas ang risk, (Please get vaccinated. This will be a pandemic of the unvaccinated. If you are not vaccinated, you have a higher percentage of getting infected. And when you become infected without being vaccinated, the risk is higher),” he said.

“Mahalin ninyo ang inyong mga sarili, proteksyonan ninyo ang inyong mga sarili, (Love yourselves, protect yourselves),” he added.
