CEBU CITY — The provincial government of Cebu will give cash incentive amounting to P5,000 to each lineman who helped in the power restoration efforts in the province of Cebu.
Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia said among those who will receive cash incentives are the linemen of CEBECO 1, 2 and 3 and Visayan Electric.
Garcia said the province is still finalizing the exact number of linemen who will be receiving cash incentives.
Garcia said the giving of cash incentives is the province's way of appreciating the linemen's efforts to restore power in the province especially in areas that were badly hit by Typhoon Odette.
"Our appreciation for our distribution utility workers that work day and night and even during the holidays and for ensuring that we will be able to have power again especially sa atong vital facilities," said Garcia.
Aside from the linemen, also set to receive the P5,000-cash incentive are policemen who took part in clearing and rehabilitation operations.
