Pokemon now on TikTok

The popular media franchise recently made an official account on the biggest short video platform

VERTICAL POKEFUN Pikachu and friends video on TikTok

The Pokémon Company opened its official account on TikTok this month.

What’s in it so far? Adorable clips of Pikachu and friends dancing to music. Teaser footage of the latest reworked video games Pokémon Shining Pearl and Brilliant Diamond has also been uploaded. The two are expected for release on Nov. 19, this year.

The much anticipated Pokémon Legends: Arceus game also has an entry on the new page. As the video game series’ first open-world action role-playing title, it is expected to break new grounds. One becomes a Pokémon ninja of sorts, in an adventure set in the distant past of the Sinnoh Region. As the top billing suggests, a mystery must be solved involving the legendary Pokémon Arceus.

All sorts of Pokémon will be having an appearance in the account. It is essentially another platform for the media franchise to announce updates and publish fun pocket monster content.

“We will be moderating this new media account so we can deliver an even closer Pokémon experience to everyone,” wrote the Pokémon Company in a statement. “Through the official account, we hope many people will learn about Pokémon and develop a new form of socialization.”
