PUERTO PRINCESA CITY, Palawan – Five barangays here have been placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to the surge of COVID-19 cases.
The regional task force approved Thursday the plan to place the five barangays – Sta. Monica, San Jose, San Manuel, San Pedro, and San Miguel – on localized lockdown or ECQ to prevent the virus from spreading further.

The Puerto Princesa City IATF has yet to issue final guidelines for the barangays under ECQ.
Puerto Princesa City has 292 total cases with 50 confirmed active cases as of posting time with 234 recoveries and eight deaths.
