The San Juan City government said it plans to start the inoculation of the elderlies and persons with comorbidity on Tuesday, March 30.
According to data given by the San Juan City government to Manila Bulletin, there are now 4,000 registered elderly and 2,835 persons with comorbidities who registered for the vaccination rollout as of March 25. The city expects more people to register for the vaccination.
San Juan City Mayor Francisco Zamora has set the guidelines for the vaccination of persons with comorbidities.
He said that persons with comorbidities with ages 18-59 who wish to be vaccinated must present any one of the following:
- Medical Certificate from the doctor issued not after 18 months
- Prescription not after 6 months
- Hospital Record
- Surgical Record
"Upang masama sa ating schedule for vaccination, kailangan po munang i-email ang inyong proweba ng comorbidity (medical certificate, reseta, hospital o surgical record) sa [email protected] (To be scheduled for vaccination, one must e-mail first a proof of comorbidity to [email protected])," Zamora said.
"Sa mga hindi po marunong mag-email, pwede po kayong humingi ng tulong sa inyong barangay upang mapadala via email ang inyong mga dokumento (For those who don't know how to send an e-mail, they can ask help from their barangay for them to be able to send their documents via e-mail)." he added.
Zamora said that only those who have successfully registered and passed the assessment of the City Health Office will receive a confirmatory text or e-mail from the San Juan City government regarding their scheduled date and time of vaccination. They are also the only ones permitted to enter the FilOil Flying V Centre for vaccination.
"Kapag hindi po kayo nakatanggap ng confirmatory text or e-mail na may nakasaad na araw at oras ng bakuna, huwag po munang magtungo sa Arena upang maiwasan ang pagdagsa ng mga tao at hawaan (If you don't get a confirmatory text or e-mail with the designated time and date of vaccination, please don't go to the Arena to prevent overcrowding and lessen the spread of the virus)." Zamora said.
In a Viber message to the media on Sunday (March 28), Zamora said medical frontliners who have not been vaccinated can still be inoculated.
“This simultaneous vaccination of the remainder of the medical frontliners and the first batch of senior citizens and those with comorbidities has been allowed by the IATF to speed up the vaccination process,” said the mayor.
As of March 27, Zamora said a total of 3,375 medical frontliners have already been vaccinated in San Juan City.
Amid the increasing number of cases, the mayor said San Juan’s quarantine facilities are currently undergoing expansion.
The National Capital Region has a total of 63,266 active cases of COVID-19 as of March 27, according to the data of the Department of Health.
