Las Pinas LGU suspends vaccination schedule for three days

The Las Pinas City government suspended its COVID-19 vaccination for three days from Dec. 30 to Jan. 1.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the suspension was made to give all the health frontline workers -- the doctors, nurses and vaccinators -- time to spend the New Year celebration with their families.

Aguilar, however, told doctors and nurses at the City Health Office to be on alert during the New Year’s Eve celebration to assist and treat the victims of firecracker explosions.

Aguilar said the schedule of vaccination for the first, second and booster shots will immediately resume after the holidays.

She called on all city residents to be part of the “Ligtas na Las Pineros, Lahat Bakunado” campaign, especially now that there is a threat of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
