Coming from a fruitful harvest of three gold medals in the 2019 SEA Games held in the country, Sibol opens up the registration for esport titles Mobile legends: Bang Bang, League of Legends: Wild Rift and Crossfire on Dec. 29 up until Jan. 5

Sibol is looking for players to represent PH in the men’s and women’s divisions of Wild Rift and the gender-neutral teams in MLBB and Crossfire.

Aside from the three, the 2021 edition of the biennial event will also have mobile games Arena of Valor, Player Unknown BattleGrounds (PUBG) Individual and Team, and Garena Free Fire and PC games League of Legends, and FIFA Online 4.

However, there’s still no official word yet from the Philippine Esports Organization whether the country will also be sending delegates for the other esports titles.

Curiously, Starcraft II and Dota 2, two esport titles which the country topped during the 2019 SEA Games, were left out of the esports events for the 31st edition of the regional meet.

Sibol’s DOTA 2 team, Martin Salvador "Boomy" Rushton, MC Nicholson "Mc" Villanueva, John Anthony "Natsumi" Vargas, Jun "Bok" Kanehara, Bryle Jacob "CML" Alvizo, Van Jerico "Van" Manalaysay, and James Erice "Erice" Guerra topped the podium while Caviar "EnDerr" Acampado also bagged the gold for StarCraft II.

The PH bets also won the gold in MLBB in the 2019 edition with a squad that featured MPL Philippines stars Jeniel "YellyHaze" Bata-Anon, Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel, Allan "Lusty" Castromayor, Karl Gabriel "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno, Kenneth "Kenji" Villa, CJ "Ribo" Ribo Jr., and Jason Rafael "Jay" Torculas.
