Miss Philippines Fire 2021 Veronica Michaela Meneses was the special guest during the opening of Mango Tree Cafe at the second floor, SM Mega Atrium recently. The new restaurant in Mandaluyong City is the seventh Mango Tree outlet in the Philippines. The other Mango Tree locations are in Bonifacio Global City, Quezon City, Greenbelt Makati, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, SM Baguio and in Greenhills Promenade in San Juan City.

Meneses was spotted sharing a table with friends. She was also seen choosing from Mango Tree's extensive selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Among these are the Green Mango Salad, Papaya Salad, Panang Curry Mixed Vegetables, veggie spring rolls, and Stir-Fried Lady Finger Okra, among others.

Roni Meneses' advocacy in Miss Philippines'Earth 2021 is "environmental vegetarianism." The beauty herself is certified in plant-based nutrition and even has a small business selling vegan desserts. She said she decided to be a vegetarian two years ago as her contribution to saving the planet and lessening the carbon footprint.

"Am always on the lookout for new places offering clean eating and plant-based options. It looks like I will be visiting more of Mango Tree Cafe here in SM Mega Atrium because their Thai dishes are really excellent," Meneses said.

The gracious couple and Mango Tree owners Eric and Emelda Teng, together with their charming daughter Mia Teng, were very visible attending to every detail of the opening . For avid diners, they have prepared a well-curated menu of well-loved dishes such as Pad Thai (stir-fried rice noodles), Tom Yum Goong (spicy and sour prawn soup), Grapow ( stir-fried minced chicken or pork with holy basil), Gaeng Kiew Whan (Thai green curry) and other specialties.

Mango Tree Cafe offers contemporary Thai cuisine from each of the four main culinary regions of Thailand. The food is a delicious mix of sweet, sour, salty, spicy and even made more exciting by the aromatic touch of Thai herbs.

On the other hand, the interiors are green and airy, with a theme of light wood. It projects a cool vibe and one can easily spend hours bonding with friends and family in the place, while of course enjoying the great food. We predict that this will once again be the preferred hang-out of the city's celebs and VIPs whenever they crave for delectable Asian cuisine.
