Las Pinas City gov’t suspends COVID vaccination

The Las Pinas City government suspended the COVID-19vaccination on Dec. 24 and 25, the city’s Public Information Office announced on its Facebook page.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar made the move to give all the personnel manning the vaccination sites -- doctors, nurses and vaccinators -- time to be with their families during the Christmas season.

Aguilar said the city government gave “noche buena” packs to senior citizens, persons with disability, and indigent families.

She said the distribution of food packages, which was supervised by Vice Mayor Nerry Aguilar, is the local government's way of ensuring that all city residents have something to prepare on their tables during the celebration of Christmas.
