Kapamilya broadcast journalist Julius Babao is rumored to leave ABS-CBN for TV5.

This after Babao served as a broadcaster for the Kapamilya Network for more than three decades.

Fellow broadcaster Marc Logan bid Babao good luck on Facebook. "Good luck Papa Julius."

Reports said negotiations for Babao to join TV5 started after he was allegedly bypassed by the ABS-CBN management to anchor the primetime news program "TV Patrol," now spearheaded by Henry Omaga Diaz, with Bernadette Sembrano and Alvin Elchico.

The husband of television personality Cristine Bersola, and ABS-CBN, have not issued any statement on the rumors.

Reports also said that Babao may join the "Frontline Pilipinas" news program which is now anchored by Cheryl Cosim.

Prior, in the same Kapatid news program, Cosim was in tandem with broadcaster Raffy Tulfo who already left the show to push his Senate bid in 2022.

On ABS-CBN, Babao hosted the public affairs programs "XXX" and Mission Impossible."
