Filipino-French businessman Christophe Bariou, rumored boyfriend of actress Nadine Lustre, is alive and well in Siargao Island, which was devastated by typhoon "Odette" recently.

On Facebook Dec. 20, Bariou said that his family and every single person he knows on the island are also alive.

But Bariou said that the island is totally wrecked. "Almost no one has a roof or a house left."

Bariou said that it is still miracle that there were only few deaths reported in the island considering the extensive damage wrought about by the typhoon.

While he admitted the experience was insane and scary, Bariou said that he is staying on the island to help survivors. He also shared photos on the island taken after the typhoon.

"Staying here to help as much as possible. Don’t expect signal to be back for weeks," he wrote on Facebook.

Bariou appealed for cash, food, gasoline, medicine, plywood (as shield from the rain), doctors, etc.

His full post on Facebook:

"Alive and well, as long as every single person I know on this island, including all my family and friends. It's clearly a miracle that we have so « few » deaths to report when you see the massive damage. It is the most insane and scariest experience to live.

"To be honest, the island is totally wrecked. Almost no one has a roof or a house left. We are organizing slowly and organizing evacuations and logistics for reliefs goods with this incredible community we all love. Help is on its way. Thanks to all those working so hard to help the locals to get through this. Staying here to help as much as possible. Don’t expect signal to be back for weeks.

We need:
