Cebu-based celebrity couple Slater Young and Kryz Uy are among those who experienced the whip of Typhoon Odette.
And Kryz couldn't help but express sadness over the devastation left by the typhoon.
"Cebu (heartbroken emoji)," she wrote as caption to photos she shared on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Slater updated fans:
"No power. No net. Just got signal. People are lining up for water, food, and gas. We have family members that lost their homes. Liteblock got looted. A lot of our employees are now homeless - using our factory as a temporary shelter for them. We’re trying to help out where we can. Praying for everyone."
On his Instagram story, he shared that lots of families near his place of business lost their homes so they're giving them some of their roofing sheets.
"Also giving them some liteblocks to help them rebuild," he added.
In another post, he sent a message to authorities, extending his helping hands as roads are all blocked outside their vicinity.
"Dear local authorities, we have a few heavy equipments that can help clear the roads, contact us or drop by."
