Over 2 million COVID-19 vaccine doses deployed in Caloocan City


A total of 2,127,201 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been deployed in Caloocan City as of Dec. 17, the city government announced on Monday, Dec. 20.

The City Health Department reported that 1,107,562 individuals received their first jabs while 990,771 were fully vaccinated.

Also, 28,868 health care workers, senior citizens, persons with comorbidities and adults were given booster shots.

For the city's pediatric population, there are 104,782 minors (with and without comorbidities) who received their first vaccine dose while 81,293 got their second dose.

During the second round of the National Vaccination Days last Dec. 15 to 17, the city government deployed a vaccination team to inoculate the residents of Calumpit, Bulacan.

As of Dec. 18, the city has documented 34 active cases of the disease (including two new cases), bringing the city’s COVID-19 tally to 62,122.

Around 60,460 individuals had recovered from the disease, while there had been 1,628 deaths in the city.

The local government urged its residents who are not yet vaccinated to visit the city's inoculation sites.
