Looks like there will be more ‘Spider-Man’ movies, Marvel Studios and Sony confirm

*SPOILER-FREE* Hopefully, everything will go well for the future of our favorite web-slinger this time

After the online waves brought by #DontDelayNoWayHomePH, Filipino “Spider-Man” fans are now rallying #DontSpoilNoWayHome as they have yet to see the “Spider-Man No Way Home” on the big screen on Jan. 8, 2022, weeks after its global release.

We know you are trying your best to dodge every spoiler you might get online. So, just to assure you, there are no spoilers in this story, just good news as it looks like the story of our friendly neighborhood hero in the form of Tom Holland is far from becoming over.

In an interview with The New York Times, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and “Spider-Man” movie producer Amy Pascal confirmed that three more movies are being cooked up by Marvel Studios and Sony.

“Amy and I and Disney and Sony are talking about—yes, we’re actively beginning to develop where the story heads next, which I only say outright because I don’t want fans to go through any separation trauma like what happened after ‘Far From Home,’” Feige said. “That will not be occurring this time.”

It can be recalled in 2019 that a fallout between Disney and Sony’s deal arose two months after Holland’s second “Spider-Man” movie’s theatrical release. Reports state it was due to “Disney’s request for a higher percentage of the third film’s gross, as well as all merchandising revenue,” to which Sony declined. Luckily, just like the hero he portrays on the screen, Holland helped in remedying the situation.

So what would future “Spider-Man” movies will be about? Both film leaders are careful not to spoil any beans yet, but assure that “No Way Home” will lead to another chapter of the life of New York’s superhero.

“This is not the last movie that we are going to make with Marvel— the last Spider-Man movie,” Pascal said. “We are getting ready to make the next ‘Spider-Man movie’ with Tom Holland and Marvel. We’re thinking of this as three films, and now we’re going to go on to the next three. This is not the last of our MCU movies.”

Well, we are keeping our fingers crossed about that.
