Winwyn Marquez: 'My parents were happy to learn the news'

"They were very happy."

This was how beauty queen and actress Wynwin Marquez described the reaction of her celebrity parents Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez to the news of her infanticipation. "My mom was surprised at first, and my dad even cried out of sheer happiness."

The former is currently 21 weeks on the way and is expected to know the gender of her baby by next week. She revealed that she's had a difficult pregnancy and the food that she was badly craving for was "rice."

The estranged parents' reaction was chronicled by Winwyn in her YouTube Channel where she showed them the positive result of her pregnancy test. A few hours later, Winwyn broke the news in person to members of the media attending the grand presscon for the Metro Manila Film Festival entry movie "Nelia" where she is the lead star. She was wearing a red sleeveless pleated shift dress which did not really show her baby bump. The actress looked like she did not gain any weight.

The 29-year-old Winwyn revealed that everyone in her family accepts her non-showbiz boyfriend. "My parents are not opposed because they know we're in a committed relationship."

"There's no pressure to marry. We're just over the moon to have this blessing. Am not getting any younger and I really look forward to being a mom," the beauty queen and actress stated.

Winwyn promised her followers that she will make a "jowa reveal" of her bf and dad-to-be soon. It was in early 2021 when she shared to social media snippets of her love life and how he supports her being a member of the BTS Army.
